The 100MW/200MWh independent energy storage project on the grid side of Donghuan Road Substation in Maojian District, Shiyan has officially started construction

On the morning of July 30, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony of the 100MW/200MWh independent energy storage project on the grid side of Donghuan Road Substation was held in Tuo'angou Industrial Park, Maojian District, Shiyan City. This event is jointly organized by Hubei Ability Electric Co., Ltd. and Hubei Pailite Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Guests from all walks of life gathered at the scene to witness the important step taken in the construction of the new power system in Shiyan.

The ceremony was conducted in an orderly manner. At 8am, the attending guests arrived at the venue one after another to sign in; At 8:30, the groundbreaking ceremony officially kicked off. In a solemn and enthusiastic atmosphere, the host introduces the basic situation of the project and the attending leaders and guests; Subsequently, the relevant leaders took the stage to deliver speeches, congratulating the smooth start of the project and placing expectations on project construction, industrial driving, green development, and other aspects. During the event, both parties held a signing ceremony to further consolidate the joint efforts of multiple parties and ensure the efficient progress of the project. With the sound of the salute cannon, the leaders and project representatives jointly used shovels to cultivate soil, starting the construction and laying the foundation, marking the comprehensive start of the project construction. It is reported that the total investment of the 100MW/200MWh grid side independent energy storage project at Donghuan Road Substation in Maojian District, Shiyan is 230 million yuan, with a construction scale of 100MW/200MWh. As an important new energy storage infrastructure serving the regional power grid, the project will play a core role in peak shaving and valley filling, peak shaving and frequency regulation after it is put into operation, significantly improving the regulation capacity and power supply reliability of the Shiyan power grid, and building a strong power supply and defense line for the production of enterprises and residents in the jurisdiction during peak electricity consumption.

The project has both economic value and industrial driving effect. After being fully constructed and put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 300 million yuan and an annual tax payment of 12 million yuan. At the same time, the project will drive the collaborative agglomeration of upstream and downstream industries such as energy storage equipment research and development, equipment manufacturing, engineering installation, and later operation and maintenance, and promote the continuous improvement of the new energy industry chain in Maojian District.

The implementation of this project is an important practice for Shiyan to promote energy structure transformation and implement the "dual carbon" goals. Relying on the advantages of independent energy storage and flexible regulation on the grid side, the project will promote the consumption of clean energy, continuously optimize the regional energy supply structure, and inject strong green momentum into the acceleration of the construction of a green and low-carbon development demonstration zone in Shiyan.
